PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri (TransNusa), an Indonesian premium carrier, successfully commenced its maiden Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur flight in April 2023 with 154 passengers onboard.
Now, Malaysians can also take TransNusa Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta flights as one of the options to travel into the Indonesian capital or even travel to other cities around Indonesia. This is a win for travellers, whether for leisure or business.
TransNusa Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta Flights
The first flight from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport took off at 07:00 and landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). TransNusa Airline will operate two return flights from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur daily. The flight from Jakarta will also take off at 16:50, while in Kuala Lumpur, the flights will depart at 10:40 AM and 8:35 PM.
The airline is currently offering promotions with prices starting as low as RM229. Besides Kuala Lumpur, TransNusa operates ten daily flights between Jakarta and Bali and thrice daily flights from Jakarta to Jogjakarta.
TransNusa chief executive officer Datuk Bernard Francis said the airline was committed to giving its passengers premium services and affordable ticket prices with various facilities and services that enhance their travel experience. “With our competitive ticket prices and premium services, we’re confident that you’ll be satisfied with your travel experience with us,” he said.
TransNusa offers three new product bundles;
- SEAT
- SEAT-PLUS
- FLEXI-PRO
Seat and Seat Plus passengers are allocated 15kgs to 30kgs of checked-in baggage, depending on the product purchased. The FLEXI-PRO include free 30kg baggage, free-to-choose seats, free food and drinks, priority check-in and boarding, refund and flight schedule changes.
TransNusa will also provide customers who purchase more premium bundles with unlimited flight changes. Customers who have purchased a bundle that offers this service will only have to pay the difference in fare for the next flight and will not incur any penalty charges. And passengers who opt for the bundle would also be entitled to a meal onboard.
The airline had also configured its Airbus A320 aircraft with a 168-174 seat configuration that allows passengers to enjoy 30-31 inches of legroom comparable to most full-service carriers.
Who is TransNusa?
PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri, operating as TransNusa Aviation Mandiri, usually shortened to TransNusa, is an Indonesian domestic airline serving the east of Indonesia, mainly Nusa Tenggara and Southern Sulawesi, with their wide range of ATR aircraft. The main base for the airline is El Tari Airport in Kupang.
TransNua was launched in August 2005, serving various destinations from Kupang, Timor, using aircraft chartered by Pelita Air and Trigana Air Service. In August 2011, TransNusa entered a new stage by receiving its air operator’s certificate (AOC) and scheduled commercial airline permit.
In December 2021, TransNusa shifted its business model into a Low-Cost Carrier (LCC) segmentation and started using Airbus aircraft as a leading fleet, namely the A320. The airline currently flies internationally to Kuala Lumpur via KLIA.
