Cosplay is about to level up in a big way. The Starcruise CosCruise Competition, officially known as the Starcruise Cosplay Competition: CosCruise Championship at Sea, is setting sail as Malaysia’s first-ever cosplay competition held entirely onboard a cruise ship.

Organised by StarCruises in collaboration with ACG Festiverse and AniMania Festival, this one-of-a-kind event invites cosplayers to swap convention halls for ocean views, epic costumes, and a floating stage packed with fandom energy. The competition takes place aboard the Star Voyager, where creativity, performance, and cosplay culture collide at sea.

According to StarDream Cruises President Michael Goh, the Starcruise CosCruise Competition is designed to celebrate imagination, fandoms, and community in a completely new environment. With the ship departing from Port Klang, the experience promises an unforgettable blend of cruising, cosplay, and adventure.

The Starcruise Cosplay Competition will take place from 2 to 6 February 2026, during a four-night cruise departing from Port Klang.
