One of Malaysia’s best underground automobile shows is back for its 10th anniversary, and this time around, Retro Havoc 2025 will showcase over 1000 cars from Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. The one-day show is a must-visit for car fans of all types, as it is where you can see rare and collectable cars in pristine condition.
Retro Havoc 2025
Having attended Retro Havoc for the first time in 2024, I was pretty impressed with the rawness of the entire event. It wasn’t one of those perfectly planned car shows that saw protocol and proper arrangements.
Retro Havoc was raw and unexpected. Best of all, it was held in the basement of a shopping mall, giving it a very underground feel—something you would see in other countries rather than in Malaysia. Yes, we are so structured regarding mainstream events; this was totally out of this world.

For the consumers, many city folks who grew up in comfort will complain about the heat and ventilation of the event, but the underground car show effect was in full effect here. Therefore, it will attract those who truly yearn for these events. If you want a nice, comfortable set-up, go for the KL International Motor Show.
The layout is on the entire second level of the basement, where every nook and cranny is utilised to showcase the different genres of cars on display. In the middle somewhere, there is a cordoned-off area for diecast vendors, who sell their collection of Hot Wheels, Matchbox Tomica and many others.
Stuffy? Yes, it’s a little, but what do you expect when you cram 1000 cars to display? But I believe the rolling-in and out parts would be the most stuffy, and if you’re asthmatic, please do not attend these times. Alternatively, you can wear a face mask and bring one of those portable fans along if you cannot stand the heat.

I was pretty much surprised at how the organisers managed to invite even the small niche genre clubs of cars to display their beauties. An example is the 80s to 90s classic Toyota clubs who came in droves with their well-groomed vehicles to be displayed. Expect to see some beautiful Toyota fourth-generation E series from the 80s.
International participants from Thailand and Singapore were also invited, and many of them drove down in their cars to have them showcased at Retro Havoc. Some of the vehicles were quite impressive.

Conclusion
Overall, this is one of the best car events I have attended. It is classified as a true underground automobile event in Malaysia that has seen some recognition from the mainstream. It is also a one-day event held Saturday night at the Curve basement car park. Tickets are required and can be purchased online from their website.
Retro Havoc 2025 promises an amazing 10th-anniversary show with over 1000 cars on display, and it is up to you to make that journey to see them. For now, I will only give you a brief review based on last year’s Retro Havoc event; therefore, see you there!
