Pokémon 30th Anniversary Asia Tour in Malaysia
Pokémon fans in Malaysia have a major event to look forward to in 2026: the Pokémon 30th Anniversary Asia Tour, happening in September. As part of the franchise’s official 30th Anniversary celebrations, Kuala Lumpur has been selected as one of the host cities for a special Pokémon event series taking place across Asia.
The announcement comes alongside a year packed with Pokémon celebrations, including the launch of the highly anticipated Pokémon Trading Card Game 30th Celebration expansion, special anniversary activities, and regional fan events.
Kuala Lumpur Confirmed as an Official Pokémon 30th Anniversary Stop
The Pokémon Company has announced a new Asia-wide celebration tour, “PokéXciting!”, to commemorate 30 years of the Pokémon franchise. Kuala Lumpur will host the event on 12 and 13 September 2026, making Malaysia one of only a handful of locations selected for the anniversary tour.

The Pokémon Company announced a special event series called PokéXciting!, which will travel across Asia to celebrate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.

This timing is particularly interesting because the massive Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration set releases worldwide on 16 September 2026, only a few days after the Kuala Lumpur event (12–13 September). Many collectors are speculating that the KL event could feature:
- Early displays of the 30-card Classic Collection
- Special promo cards
- Exclusive merchandise
- TCG demo areas
- Anniversary collector activities
These have not been officially confirmed yet.
As a Malaysian Pokémon collector, I’d keep 12–13 September 2026 completely free. This is shaping up to be the biggest official Pokémon event Malaysia has hosted in years, and there’s a good chance we’ll get exclusive merchandise or promo items that become highly collectable later.
