International TableTop Day Malaysia 2025
After the incredible vibes from last year’s debut, I’ve got exciting news — International TableTop Day Malaysia 2025 (ITTDMY) is making a grand return this year from 17-18 May. And yes, Great Eastern Mall is again the fabulous venue and sponsor. Major shoutout to them for supporting this unique community!
The event is organised by KakiTabletop, a fantastic network building and connecting Malaysia’s tabletop gaming scene for over a decade, so a huge shout out to the team for this.
So, what’s ITTDMY all about?
It’s a full-day celebration of everything analogue — from board games and minis to RPGS and trading cards. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or just curious about the hobby, there’s something for you. The best part? Entry is FREE. Just walk in and join the fun! (Though some workshops and sessions may need pre-registration and a small fee.)
4 Genres. 4 Quadrants. Unlimited Fun.
Here’s how the event space is laid out — each corner of the venue is themed around one of these:
- Board Games
- Miniature Games
- Role-Playing Games
- Trading Card Games
Each zone will be packed with activities, demos, learn-to-play sessions, and community vibes—all supported by awesome partners like Naga Minis, Hobby Outpost, Boards & Brews, Eloneth, Faculty of Fun, Here Be Dragons, Ku Play, Nightshade Tavern, Othello Malaysia, and many more.

Board Games Galore
I’m especially hyped about the Board Games quadrant this year — Malaysian designers are bringing the heat! You will meet the creators behind titles like The Nasi Lemak Game, Pantheon Wars, Drama Pukul 7, Nak Makan Apa, Ketupat Rendang Game, Furmation of Rome, and King & Peasant.
Also, Ku Play is back with loads of modern board games, and the Othello Malaysia crew will be on-site recruiting players for a potential national team. And this year, there will be international guests from Singapore, including the game designer behind Rats to Riches and regional event organiser #LaiPlayLeow.

Miniatures Mayhem
For all you painters and wargamers, the Miniatures section will be lit. Hobby Outpost will show off everything from Warhammer to Marvel Crisis Protocol, complete with painting demos and lore deep dives.
And get this — Naga Minis is bringing their locally designed miniatures. You can even join a painting workshop with help from the legendary Paint Masters. Trust me, your minis will never look the same again.

Adventures Await in the RPG Zone
Whether you’ve rolled dice before or not, the RPG quadrant is the perfect place to jump in. There’ll be beginner-friendly and advanced sessions led by Game Masters from Here Be Dragons and Nightshade Tavern.
Expect a range of adventures from classic sword & sorcery to wild homebrews. Also, look out for local creators like Wither & Bloom (fantastic D&D-themed art & merch) and Diceworks Collective (local dice makers). Oh — and some of Malaysia’s best RPG writers from Centaur Games and Perfect Hole Productions will be there too. Don’t miss them.

TCGs? Say Less.
Into Trading Card Games? Boards & Brews and Hobby Outpost will host the TCG section, featuring Pokémon, Flesh & Blood, Grand Archive, and Magic: The Gathering. If you’re new, they’ve got Learn-to-Play sessions happening all day. Plus, you’ll get to meet Eloneth, the internationally acclaimed Malaysian TCG artist. It’s wild how much talent we have locally!
Who is KakiTabletop?
What started 10 years ago as a Dungeons & Dragons meetup has now grown into a massive, inclusive community covering every genre of tabletop gaming. KakiTabletop connects players from all over Malaysia, from card floppers to dice chuckers, dungeon crawlers to wargamers — it’s the heart of the local scene.
