Huawei Mate 50 Pro Camera Zoom Test Review
During a trip to Sandakan in Sabah at the end of October 2022, I took the opportunity to do a Huawei Mate 50 Pro camera zoom test to see how the focal lengths of the telephoto lens performed.
While the 100x zoom is still a novelty mode, I find that if you use a tripod on a clear day, the photo should turn out decent for identification purposes only and not for printing or anything else.
Huawei Mate 50 Pro Camera Zoom Test Review
I’ll get straight to my zoom test for the Mate 50 Pro, and you can see their differences. I started the series with the wide shot and then moved into normal 1x, then to 3x, 10x, 20x, 50x and finally 100x.
The subject was a floating fish farm in the Sandakan Bay area, and my point of shooting was from a well-known Chinese temple on a hill facing the Sandakan Bay area.
Conclusion
As I always noticed, once you pass the 10x zoom, the photos will break; therefore, I will only go up to 10x zoom if I want to use any photos. More than that is still questionable; perhaps if they use a new sensor or chip that can cater to a longer zoom, it could be a game-changer.
